Helen Smith, Director of Finance, joined SCAA in 2011. She is responsible for overseeing the financial operation of SCAA including accounting, budgeting, and financial reporting activities, policies, and practices.
Prior to joining SCAA, Ms. Smith spent nearly six years at the Mohawk Hudson Land Conservancy, a local land trust located in Slingerlands, NY. She was responsible for the financial management of MHLC as well as the database, website, and development of promotional materials. Ms. Smith’s background also includes work as an administrator at hospitals in Rochester, NY and Wallingford, CT.
Ms. Smith holds a Masters Degree in Business Administration from the Amos Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth College and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Smith College.
