SCAA Staff

Robin Christenson, Vice President,  first joined SCAA in 1999 and recently returned to SCAA after two years as Vice President of the Upper Hudson Planned Parenthood.  Ms. Christenson is responsible for broadening SCAA's statewide visibility and continuing its educational outreach through targeted communications to the non-profit sector, coordination of fundraising, public and media relations, coalition-building, and special events. She oversees day to day operations and is involved in SCAA's child welfare policy work.

Before coming to SCAA, Ms. Christenson worked in the areas of advancement and management in several not-for-profits, including the American Red Cross of NENY, Upper Hudson Planned Parenthood, Northeast Health and the American Lung Association of NYS. She earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in political science from the State University College at Oswego and is a graduate of the National Planned Giving Institute at the College of William and Mary. Ms. Christenson has lectured on grant-writing and strategic and development planning for the Community Foundation for the Capital Region, Siena College and the University at Albany's Center for Women in Government/Nonprofit Education Initiative. She is an adjunct professor at the University at Albany’s Rockefeller College.
