SCAA Staff

Bridget Walsh, Senior Policy Associate, joined SCAA in 1998. She currently is the principal staff contact for the SCAA Health/Mental Health Committee and a member of the Steering Committee for the New York State Community Health Partnership. Her work encompasses all aspects of health including public health, Medicaid, the uninsured, and long-term care. She also works in the area of children's mental health services.

Prior to joining SCAA, Ms. Walsh served as the Government Affairs Representative for the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, New York State, and the Associate Director of the Governor's Health Care Advisory Board. She worked in the New York State Assembly as staff to former Assembly Majority Leader, James R. Tallon, Jr. and spent six years on the staff of The Business Council of New York State.

Ms. Walsh is immediate past President of the New York State Public Health Association, a member of the Steering Committee of the Capital District Senior Issues Forum, and a Girl Scout Troop Leader. She has a Bachelor of Arts degree from Ithaca College, and majored in politics.
