Diane Mastin joined
SCAA on February 1, 2005 as a Senior Policy Associate, principally
involved with implementation of SCAA's Children's Policy Agenda
and Citizen Review Panels. Ms. Mastin recently moved to Albany
from Syracuse, New York, where she served, since 1998, as
Executive Director of Success By 6, United Way of Central
New York. At Success By 6 she led or participated in initiatives
having to do with children's hunger, family literacy, quality
early childhood education, and children's health.
Previously, Ms. Mastin served in similar capacities with
the YWCA of Syracuse and Onondaga County and Big Brothers/Big
Sisters of Auburn and Cayuga County. She also has a background
in teaching at the secondary level and in guidance and counseling.
She has a Master of Science degree in Guidance Counseling
from Syracuse University, and a Bachelor of Science degree
in Secondary Education from the University of Cincinnati.
Ms. Mastin is also an active community volunteer.
